This paper focuses on how to strengthen the construction of safety culture in the safety production of steel supports, and discusses the safety protection of people, equipment and mine natural environment and the relationship between safety and production. This paper puts forward that the steel support should make safety preventive measures according to the rules of human mind and objective rules, introduce and apply the method of scientific analysis of mind, so as to better serve coal mine safety management, and build a new modern safe production management system based on this. With the continuous development and change of the international situation, China has been accustomed to better development and growth of the international situation since its entry into the WTO. The people's government of the CPC central committee has pushed security operations to a new level. "pay attention to security, care for life" has become the theme of security production. Party and state leaders personally observe and guide coal production every year. It can be seen from this, the party and state leaders to coal safety production attention. This paper thinks that the most important link of coal safety production is the modern coal mine safety management, which is mainly for the safety protection of people, equipment and mine natural environment. Meantime, deal with to the person is core, because the element of the person is dominant, deal with the element is crucial, the element of thing is foundation, environment element is condition. In the operation of safety production, it is necessary to change from post-inspection to pre-prevention, formulate safety preventive measures according to people's mind rules and objective rules, introduce and apply mind science to better serve coal mine safety management, and establish a new safety management system on this basis.
