The steel arch is divided into h-shaped steel arch frame, i-shaped steel arch frame, channel steel arch frame, miner's steel bracket and u-shaped steel bracket according to the production materials. Miners' steel support and u-shaped steel support are generally used in support of roadway such as coal mine, and they are also made of i-beam in coal mine, but very few. Channel steel arch is generally used in small tunnels and is rarely used. In the production process, some made with finished steel section, some with steel plate blanking welding into steel section, such as H section steel, I steel, in which H section steel ratio is larger than I steel, steel arch for the surrounding rock higher level place.
Features of section steel arch:
1, the steel arch is I - beam or rail made of rigid arch, stiffness and strength.
2, Steel arch can be used as a temporary support and bear the larger surrounding rock pressure alone, can also be set in the concrete as part of the permanent lining.
3.Steel arch the biggest feature: it can be loaded immediately after erection.
Steel arch scope of application:
(1) where surrounding rock deformation needs to be controlled immediately.
(2) in Ⅴ, Ⅵ or handling landslide in the soft and broken surrounding rock is used when more.
Disadvantages of section steel arch:
(1) the gap between the steel arch and surrounding rock is difficult to be filled closely with shotcrete.
(2) poor bond with shotcrete leads to cracks in shotcrete near the steel arch.
