Tunnel roof support is a kind of power plant which uses steel support pressure to generate support force and realize automatic shifting device for roof support and management. It is an indispensable supporting equipment for comprehensive mechanized coal mining. The tunnel roof support is mainly used in horizontal plane and longwall fully mechanized mining face with full height of primary caving along the floor of gently inclined thick coal seam less than or equal to 10 degrees. Tunnel roof support is also suitable for horizontal stratified caving fully mechanized mining face of steeply inclined extra-thick coal seam.
Working resistance of tunnel roof support refers to the final resistance of the support under pressure. The initial support force of the support refers to the support force of the support to the top plate when all the support columns are raised under the working pressure of the pump station and the top beam is connected to the top plate. The initial bracing force of the support shall be generally 70-80% of the working resistance.
