Steel Arch Support is a steel support set along the perimeter of the section during tunnel construction. Generally composed of large I-beam, the main forms are:
(1)The two left and right arch ribs are connected with the support of the column;
(2)The left and right arch ribs and the column are divided into two large section supports;
(3)There are only two arch ribs directly supported on the steps of the rock, and no column support is set up;
(4)In the construction of arch first and then wall method, add lateral I-steel joist support between the arch rib and the column. All are connected by steel plates and bolts. The steel plate can be directly welded to the end of the arch rib and then bolted. Wood wedges are driven every 100-150cm between the surrounding rock and the surrounding rock to effectively support it.
Steel Arch Support occupies a small space, which can make the section space easy to accommodate and pass mobile drilling rigs, ballasting machines and movable templates and other equipment, which is conducive to comprehensive mechanized construction and speeds up. When necessary, the support can be left in the concrete lining and used as a rigid steel bar to make the excavation section close to the lining contour, thereby reducing the amount of excavation and saving lining materials. Used more abroad. When building railway tunnels in our country, old rails were used to imitate them.
