On April 27, the opening ceremony for the 'AI-Powered Rural Revitalization Training Program and AI Skills Competition' —organized by the Jining High-Tech Zone Federation of Trade Unions and hosted by the Jining Industry, Information Technology, and Commerce Vocational Training College (a subsidiary of Shandong Zhongmei Group)—was held with great fanfare at the Zhongmei Group AI Training Center. This marks another significant step by Zhongmei Group to extend its intelligent capabilities to the rural sector, following its AI-empowered corporate training initiatives. More than 60 key trainees working on the front lines of rural revitalization in the High-Tech Zone participated in the program.
Gao Hongwei, Vice Chairman of the High-Tech Zone Federation of Trade Unions; Han Yong, General Manager of China Coal Group; Wang Man, Vice President of the Jining Vocational Training College of Industry, Information Technology, and Commerce; and Zhang Zhuangzhi attended the ceremony. In his remarks, Vice Chairman Gao emphasized that promoting the adoption of AI technology at the grassroots level is a key strategy for fostering new productive forces in agriculture and rural areas. He encouraged the trainees to cherish this opportunity, apply what they have learned, and strive to become 'digital pioneers' in rural revitalization.
Mr. Han highlighted the Group’s technological achievements in areas such as smart marketing, AI diagnostics, and e-commerce content creation. He stated that the Group would continue to leverage its Smart Research Institute to deepen the integration of industry and education, thereby providing practical skills and solutions to support the development of digital rural communities.
This training program is closely aligned with the practical needs of rural communities. It employs a model combining 'theoretical instruction, case analysis, hands-on computer exercises, and group drills,' and is systematically organized into four modules: AI Fundamentals and Rural Applications, Practical Tool Training, Hands-On E-commerce for Agricultural Products, and AI Office Skills Enhancement. Following the training, three skill competitions—on AI content creation, short video production, and e-commerce marketing—will be held to foster learning through competition and practical application. This approach ensures that participants can understand, master, and effectively apply the material, truly transforming cutting-edge technology into practical skills for increasing income and achieving prosperity.
This training program represents a concrete step by China Coal Group to deepen its 'AI+' initiative and support high-quality regional development. Looking ahead, the Group will continue to leverage its strengths in scientific innovation and platform development to promote the dissemination of intelligent technologies to grassroots levels and rural areas, thereby helping the High-Tech Zone establish itself as a model for digital rural development. Following the ceremony, all participants immediately proceeded to the first hands-on AI training session, marking the official launch of a new phase of efforts to empower rural revitalization through digital technology.
