Top beam: The top beam is a circular arch structure used to support the top of a roadway or tunnel. Its quantity may vary according to the size of the section of the roadway, the force of the support and the transportation conditions, and there are one section and multiple sections.
Pillar leg (or called outrigger): the pillar leg is the supporting part of the Support Arch, and there are three common forms. One is that the upper part is circular and the lower part is a straight section; the second is that all of them are curved and have only one radius of curvature; the third is that all of them are curved but have two radii of curvature. The number and form of column legs will also be customized according to the actual demand.
Connector: The connector is the clamping device between the bracket sections and sections, which can not only play the role of connection, but also press the joint part of the two sections of the connecting section steel to provide the preload force, so that there is friction between the Mine Roof Support, which ensures that the arched bracket has a certain working resistance and a certain retractable amount.
Inter-frame tie rods: Inter-frame tie rods are used to enhance the relative stability of the bracket as a whole, connecting the bracket from the longitudinal direction to form a whole structure, thus improving the load-bearing capacity of the Mine Roof Support.
Backing material: The backing material is filled between the Support Arch and the surrounding rock to make the bracket in close contact with the surrounding rock, improve the stress condition of the bracket, increase its load-bearing capacity, and maintain the stability of the surrounding rock.
In addition, in some specific Support Arch, such as U36 steel bracings, components such as card cables and footing plates may also be included. The clamping cables are typically used to further secure and connect the various parts of the bracket, while the footing plates are used to increase the contact area between the bracket and the ground and improve the stability of the bracket.
